the course contains two distinct parts of the total P.C.B design learning package in ORCAD.
First is - design entry ( ORCAD CAPTURE)
Second is - LAYOUT design ( ORCAD LAYOUT)
ORCAD CAPTURE
In this part of learning ORCAD, the student will learn to input the schematic design entry digitally.
this process is called design entry or schematic design. with this student can learn how to draw error free designs in a soft copy and as per the internationally accepted rules of design entry.
its also used to prepare the netlist ( a digital information package) containing all the information about the entered schematic. apart from this ,
there are many types of needs arose to make a software copy of the electronic schematic.
following are the points of course contents
Introduction of various electronics components.
study of parts and their symbols
A brief introduction to he functionality of the electronics componants.
Schematic entry procedures.
Making error free drawing.
Awareness of design entry rules.
International rules of design entry.
Editing the design ( drawing)
Connectivity of the CAPTURE with PCB layout section.
Making a new part
ORCAD vocabulary of the parts used
Making new libraries and custom parts
Making netlist
Design rules check
Reports generation
Migration of design from CAPTURE to LAYOUT.
Important TIPS & TRICKS for real world scenario.

ORCAD LAYOUT
In this part of learning ORCAD, the student will learn the actual P.C.B design ( layout making ) , auto and manual routing and various aspects and solution of layout design and editing the existing layout and the final outcome of the pcb layout ready to give to the pcb fabricator.
it contains GERBER output and foot print making for the new part.
last part of the layout is to make the layout design ready for delivering to the fabricator and taking out and masking layers those are to be required to be printed on pcb or to be used by a CNC machine by the fabricator, or to be maid manually.
following are the points of course contents
Introduction to the various footprints of the standard components.
Layout basics
Fundamental understanding of layout making.
Introduction to layout layers, for single and double side (PTH) p.c.b
Importing the NETLIST
Layers setup
Placement of components manually.
Auto placement.
Art of componant placemtnt manually.
Auto and manual routing.
Editing layout.
making new footprints.
taking out the OUTPUT of the layout.
